Boron Nitride Coating/Suspension/Release Agent-BORONOX+
Boronox+ is premium quality water based hexagonal boron nitride coating made up of ultra- pure Boron Nitride particles. It is an excellent coating lubricant and release agent. This premium quality suspension forms a smooth coating on the substrate with outstanding adhesion which can withstand very high temperatures. Boronox+ is not wetted by liquid metals (e.g. aluminum, zinc, copper etc.). It also exhibits high resistance to chemical attacks.
Typical Applications – Boronox+ is used as a release agent, as a lubricant and to form protective coating. It is particularly recommended for processes involving very high temperatures (at and above 1000 degree centigrade), for extrusion, die-casting, forging, molding, heat-treatment and ceramic production. It is also recommended for laboratory and research purposes and nuclear applications.

How to apply Boron Nitride Suspension - Boronox+
BORONOX+ does not form a permanent coating on the substrate and can easily be removed as and when desired. It comes in ready-to-use formulation and needs to be just stirred before the application. The area to be coated should be cleaned thoroughly and should be dry and free of oil, grease, dust, rust or any remnants of paint or lacquer. At room temperature and normal levels of humidity, generally, a coat of Boronox+ will take about 10 minutes to dry completely to touch. The substrate can be warmed or heated slightly before the application of Boronox+ in order to shorten the drying period. The suspension can be applied with a conventional flat brush or roller. If desired by the user, Boronox+ can be thinned using distilled water.
The water should be added in small quantities and after each addition of water, the suspension should be mixed slowly and thoroughly to avoid clumping. Boronox+ container should be covered properly to avoid thickening of the suspension since it is water based and prone to drying. It can withstand freezing temperatures.

Can we add more water to Boronox+ ?
Yes, in case a thinner consistency is required by the user, more water can be added to Boronox+. But certain precautions need to be taken. Water must be distilled with neutral pH. Proper mixing must take place after the addition of extra water. Boronox+ is supplied by us with optimum adhesion level. This is bound to get affected if extra water is added.
